New Hotels & Meeting Space

Signia by Hilton & Convention Center Expansion

$710 Million | Anticipated Opening: December 2026

Construction is underway on the 143,500-square-foot center expansion, including a 50,000-sq.-ft. ballroom, that will connect to a new 800-room Signia by Hilton, creating an unrivaled convention package. The new property will stand 38 stories tall and will include a top-level bar with skyline views. This project is anticipated to open December 2026.

Indy already touts the most hotels and hotel rooms connected by enclosed skywalks into a center in the U.S., and this expansion will boost those numbers to 13 properties and 5,500 hotel rooms all under one roof.

Signia by Hilton and Indiana Convention Center Expansion

Ritz-Carlton Hotel

176 Rooms | Anticipated opening: 2028

Across the street from Gainbridge Fieldhouse and connected by enclosed skywalk, this new Ritz-Carlton will be 15-stories and part of a mixed-use development that includes a 4,000-capacity music venue operated by Live Nation. The hotel itself will feature 176 rooms, including 30 executive suites, two deluxe/hospitality suites, and a Ritz-Carlton suite. Additional amenities include 11,500 square feet of ballroom and meeting spaces, a fitness center and spa, an outdoor terrace, an upscale restaurant, a lobby bar and restaurant space, and a private lounge for hotel guests. The Georgia Street location puts the hotel and music venue only three blocks from the Indiana Convention Center.

Westin Hotel at Indianapolis International Airport

253 Rooms | Anticipated opening: 2027

The Westin Indianapolis International Airport (IND) broke ground in June 2025 and is expected to be completed by December 2027, connecting to the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) terminal garage. The hotel will feature a full-service restaurant, a fitness center, a rooftop bar, and meeting space, all designed to offer a convenient and luxurious experience for travelers. Convenient access to IND makes the Westin ideal for those departing on early flights.

Kimpton Hotel

167 Rooms | Anticipated opening: 2026

The historic Odd Fellows building in the heart of downtown Indy was once one of the city's tallest office towers. In late 2026, this historic gem will open as Kimpton enters the Indianapolis market with a luxury hotel featuring a ballroom, a rooftop bar and restaurant. The 4,500 sq. ft. ballroom and pre-function space along with a board room will offer planners new meeting options.

Motto Hotel

116 Rooms | Anticipated opening: 2026

Located on prime corner in the heart of downtown, the new Motto Hotel will feature stunning views of Indy greatest civic space, Monument Circle. The redevelopment of the historic King Cole Building will be a boutique property with rooftop bar/restaurant, a street-level cafe, and a street-level bar.

Georgia Street Redevelopment

West Block Opening December 2026

Georgia Street transformed from a four-lane road to a mixed-use pedestrian space with two lanes of traffic in advance of Super Bowl XLVI. Now, the three blocks connecting the Indiana Convention Center to Gainbridge Fieldhouse is undergoing another facelift. Starting with the west block that fronts the convention center and the new Signia by Hilton hotel, Georgia Street is being redesigned to be more pedestrian and event friendly. The vision is for a public outdoor space that can be easily activated by convention and meeting planners to extend the footprint of their events to include outdoor space. Work on the remaining two blocks will begin in the near future.

Traction Yards

$600 Million | Anticipated Phase 1 Opening: 2029

Hendricks Commercial Properties LLC, the developers behind Indy's popular Ironworks and Bottleworks districts, are reimagining downtown's Circle Centre mall. Traction Yards represents a complete evolution of the longstanding mall structure, shifting from an enclosed retail model to an open-air urban neighborhood that blends retail, dining, entertainment, residential living, office space, and activated public plazas. The name pays tribute to Indianapolis’ industrial and rail heritage while signaling forward momentum and renewed vitality.

City Market East Project

$175 Million | Anticipated Opening: 2028

A revitalization project to bring the downtown market block back into Indy’s residential and commercial spotlight, this $175M-plus development will reimagine the City Market and the surrounding business district’s landmarks. The historic City Market, a feature in downtown Indianapolis since 1886, will be redeveloped to be more pedestrian-friendly and accessible to visitors touring the district, with $12M in improvement to the Market’s parking garage and a $4M conversion of alleyways into walking trails. A new 10,500-sq.-ft. glass enclosure of the City Market building will offer more event and entrepreneurial space. A reimagined west plaza will include sunken areas that expose the historic catacombs from the former Tomlinson Hall.

IMS Museum Restoration and Event Center

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum is expanding its legacy beyond the track with a new 87,000-square-foot Restoration and Event Center in Speedway, featuring restoration bays, rotating exhibits, public tours, and hands-on education programs, alongside a 4,500-square-foot event venue that will create an exciting new option for meetings and events in Indy when it opens in 2027.

Walking/Biking Trails Investment

$150 Million

Few projects transformed downtown Indy more than the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. Yet another expansion will build on this legacy by extending the trail west over the White River via the new Henry Street Bridge. The Cultural Trail is one part of a historic investment the state and city are making to expand and connect Indy's trail system. The B&O Trail is now connecting downtown to Speedway and is continuing to extend west. The Nickel Plate Trail will soon connect downtown to the fast-growing cities of Fishers and Noblesville to the northeast. Indy is investing big to make the city a premier destination for walking and biking.

IndyGo Blue Line Bus Rapid Transit Line

$370 Million | Anticipated Opening 2028

The third phase of the IndyGo's bus rapid transit (BRT) system will extend from the town of Cumberland to the east through downtown and west to the Indianapolis International Airport (IND). Construction of the project will begin in 2025 with a goal of completion in 2028. The Blue Line will make it easier than ever for visitors to efficiently and affordably travel from the airport to downtown. Coupled with the Red Line and the Purple Line, IndyGo's BRT system will be one of the most expansive in the country.

Indiana Fever Sports Performance Center

$78 Million | Anticipated Opening 2027

With the goal of Indianapolis becoming the epicenter of women's sports, Pacers Sports & Entertainment is breaking ground on a world-class training facility designed around the needs of female athletes. In addition to two regulation-sized courts, a wide range of therapy and spa-like features, a hair and nail salon, childcare services, and podcast studios to cater to the modern athlete, the facility will also allow for unique fan experiences and a Fever team store. This facility will connect by skywalk to the recently renovated Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Ole Red

Anticipated Opening Late 2027

Country music star Blake Shelton, in cooperation with Opry Entertainment Group, is bringing Ole Red to the heart of downtown Indianapolis. Located in between Gainbridge Fieldhouse and the Indiana Convention Center, the bar, restaurant, and entertainment venue adds to a slate of development in and around Georgia Street. This marks the chain's seventh location and will bring added energy in downtown Indy's entertainment district.
